
Dr. Mushegh Rafayelyan is a Principal Investigator at PhotonicsAI Lab leading the main research projects in the laboratory. His research interests focus on optical computing, beam shaping, signal processing, machine learning, light-matter nonlinear interactions, liquid crystal optics, and optical imaging.

Dr. Tatevik Sarukhanyan is a head of group at PhotonicsAI Lab and a Co-Investigator of the Remote Laboratory program of the Science Committee. Her research area is laser generation from liquid crystalline systems, light-matter interaction, optical computing and optical microfabrication.

Dr. Vahram Grigoryan is a Senior Researcher at PhotonicsAI Lab. His research interests include condensed matter physics, spintronics, cavity-spintronics, machine learning and optical computing.

Dr. Tetiana Orlova is the Principal Investigator of the team project “Hierarchically ordered complex soft materials: Where additive manufacturing meets self-assembly” within the framework “Incoming Research Fellowship Program 2024/1 (Integration Grant)” funded by the Higher Education and Science Committee.

Dr. Sergey Shvetsov is a researcher at Photonics AI Lab. He graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and received his PhD degree in Optics from Lebedev Physical Institute. His research interests are in the field of nonlinear optics of liquid crystals, photosensitive systems, and defects.

Lilit Melikyan is a master’s student in the Department of Physics at Yerevan State University. She is interested in linear and non-linear optics, laser physics, photonics and optical computing.

Hayk Harutyunyan is a researcher at PhotonicsAI Lab and also is a master student at Department of Physics. His main research interests are the study of liquid crystals, light-matter interaction and non-linear optics.

Tatevik Khachatryan is a PR & Communication Specialist at PhotonicsAI Lab.

Nikita Marinin is a researcher at PhotonicsAI Lab, got his masters degree in MSU. His main interests are non-linear optics, neural networks and biophysics.

Mane Mkhitaryan is a researcher at the PhotonicsAI lab. Her fields of interest include optical computing and machine learning.

Aleksandr Hayrapetyan is a researcher doing his Ph.D. at PhotonicsAI Lab. His research topic is related to laser physics, non-linear physics, and machine learning. He is also interested in deep learning applications in physics.

Ani Shakhyan is a researcher at the PhotonicsAI Lab and a master’s student at the American University of Armenia. Her research focuses on reservoir computing, a field that leverages photonic systems for advanced computing applications.

Aram Sargsyan is a machine learning researcher at PhotonicsAI Lab. His fields of research include optical computing, physics-inspired deep learning, computer science, optoelectronic optimization problems.

Darina Darmoroz is a researcher at PhotonicsAI Lab.

Hayk Mikayelyan is a researcher at PhotonicsAI Lab. He finished his master’s degree at Yerevan State University and Université de Bourgogne. His research interests include but not limited to computational optics, biophysics and machine learning.

Eduard Danielyan is a machine learning researcher at PhotonicsAI Lab. His field of research is neural networks associated with liquid crystals.

Njteh Kourian is a master’s student at YSU Insitute of Physics and researcher at PhotonicsAI Lab. His research interests include inverse design and optimization of photonic components, simulation and 3D printing of optical structures.

Robert Saroyan is a machine learning researcher at PhotonicsAI Lab. His research focuses on leveraging principles from physics to enhance the development of deep learning algorithms.

Hrayr Hakobyan is a young researcher at PhotonicsAI Lab and a bachelor’s student at YSU Physics Institute. I’m involved in one of the lab’s research projects in optical imaging.

Mher Martirosyan is a researcher at PhotonicsAI Lab. He completed his master’s degree at Yerevan State University, and defended his master’s thesis on “Calculation of optical resonators with acousto-optical modulation”. He conducts research on turbulent environments with filming.

Anna Mikayelyan is a data science student at the American University of Armenia and a researcher at PhotonicsAI Lab. Her work aims to automate and optimize the full microfabrication pipeline—from structure design and simulation to printing and evaluation.

Dr. Vagharshak Hakobyan is a researcher at Photonics and AI laboratory of YSU within the framework of the “Broadband geometric phase modulators: from microwaves to visible light” project.

Hayk Avetisyan is a researcher at PhotonicsAI Lab and a master’s student at the Institute of Physics at YSU. His main research interests are the study of liquid crystals and fast reconfigurable phase shifters based on a liquid crystal configuration.
